SDS IODINE
“SDS Iodine” contains Iodine-131 in sodium iodide Solution form contained in a glass vial in a shielded container. Iodine- 131 is produced by fission of uranium-235 or neutron irradiation of tellurium in a nuclear reactor.Iodine-131 with a half-life of 8.02 days decays to stable Xenon- 131.During this decay process, it emits gamma radiation at energies of 365 keV, 637 keV, and 284 keV, as well as beta radiation with a maximum energy of 606 keV.
