Product description:
SDS GEN is a state-of-the-art dry-type Mo-99/Tc-99m generator, designed to reliably produce high-purity, sterile, pyogen-free, isotonic sodium pertechnetate (99mTc) injection suitable for intravenous use or for radiolabelling of pharmaceutical kits.
The generator contains a glass column filled with acidic aluminium oxide (Al2O3) on which fission-produced Molybdenum-99 (Na2MoO4) is adsorbed.
The system includes a microbiological filter to ensure eluate sterility when used under proper storage and handling conditions.
Product Operation:
Elution is performed using a 0.9% NaCl solution (sterile, pyogen-free). The resulting eluate—sodium pertechnetate (99mTc) solution-is — is:
- Isotonic
- Colourless, clear
- Sterile and non-pyrogenic
- Suitable for direct intravenous injection or radiolabelling kits
Elution time ranges between 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the volume (4–10 mL). Post-elution, the column is automatically dried via airflow to prevent water radiolysis, maintaining the high performance and quality of the generator over its shelf life.
